We have an exciting opportunity for a UAV System Specialist to support the Navy MQ-25 Program
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
With general direction this position is responsible for providing support for all phases of system lifecycle (concept, development, pre-production, production, and sustainment).
Support operation and sustainment of systems by evaluating and interpreting needs and problems. Develop effective approaches to resolving those issues.
Work with other team members to define system life cycle logistics requirements. Work with other groups such as Product Life Cycle Sustainment, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Program Management and Manufacturing to facilitate task completion.
Work with engineering support organizations to produce documentation such as logistics procedures, system specifications, test procedures and review their work prior to release.
Develop Interface Control Documents, Hardware Requirement Specifications, Performance Specifications, presentations and review sustainment plans/procedures.
Represent the organization as a prime logistics technical contact and provide leadership and guidance to less experienced professionals.
Develop and maintain life cycle sustainment schedules/budgets for programs tasks or subtasks.
Provide support for proposals/white papers, and interface with customers.
Investigate and resolve problem areas and collaborate with logistics, engineering, operations and maintenance personnel to document technical solutions.
Typically requires education/formal training equivalent to the completion of a bachelor's degree and fourteen or more years of professional/military technical experience and/or professional in-depth logistics/military documentation experience. In addition, must have four or more years of management/customer interface. Equivalent professional logistics/military technical experience or military operations and maintenance experience may be substituted in lieu of education/training.
Must demonstrate an excellent understanding of military and/or commercial systems, a strong working knowledge of the logistics development process, and an understanding of logistic support.
Must possess the ability to develop, acquire, interpret and communicate engineering technical data.
The ability to develop and communicate new concepts and apply them in an evolving environment.
The ability to organize, schedule and coordinate work phases and determine the appropriate approach at the task or project level.
The ability to identify issues and develop innovative solutions to a variety of complex technical problems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to accurately analyze, document, present and report recommendations and excellent knowledge of computer operations and applications.
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment is essential.
