We have an exciting opportunity for a UAV System Specialist to support the Navy MQ-25 Program.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
With general direction this position is responsible for providing oversite of the preparation of Naval aircraft and maintenance related correspondence; maintain directive control and custody records, control forms and reporting requirements in accordance with the OPNAV 4790 NAMP
Support the setup and operation of the Maintenance Management Information System (MMIS) to ensure compatible data for the Naval Aviation Logistics Command Management Information System (NALCOMIS)
Oversea the input, verification, and validation of data pertaining to the history, operation, maintenance, configuration, receipt, and transfer of naval aircraft, related aeronautical equipment, and components installed in those equipment
Manage the maintenance of flight data historical files
Manage the creation and upkeep of Naval aircraft logs and records required for transfer with aircraft.
Represent the organization as the prime Naval Aviation Logs and Records technical contact and provide leadership and guidance to less experienced professionals.
Assist with the development of field operating procedures that support collection and documentation of the required data
Oversea the transfer of Naval aircraft data from the company MMIS to the customer NALCOMIS
Typically requires education in aviation maintenance records equivalent to the completion of a bachelor's degree and nine or more years of professional engineering/military technical and/or documentation experience. Equivalent professional engineering/military technical, operations, and/or maintenance experience may be substituted in lieu of education/training.
Requires 10 years or more of hands on experience managing a Naval Aviation Maintenance Control Logs and Records organization
Must demonstrate an excellent understanding of Naval Aviation maintenance systems, a strong working knowledge of the maintenance management process, and an understanding of logistic support analysis and principles.
Must demonstrate an excellent understanding of the NAMP Aviation maintenance documentation requirements, a strong working knowledge of NALCOMIS.
The ability to develop, acquire, interpret and communicate maintenance documentation best practices
The ability to develop and communicate new concepts and apply them in an evolving environment
The ability to organize, schedule and coordinate work phases and determine the appropriate approach at the task or project level
The ability to identify issues and develop innovative solutions to a variety of complex support problems
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to accurately analyze, document, present and report recommendations
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment is essential as is the ability to work extended hours and travel as required.
