  • Exercises considerable latitude in identifying, evaluating, developing and administering supplier activities, projects, programs and/or performance.

  • Participates in the development of policies and procedures and develops and monitors supplier activities and performance metrics to ensure Company processes, procedures and standards are in compliance.

  • Facilitates/coordinates presentation of program status on all subcontracts and purchasing activities, projects, issues, etc.

  • Monitors and evaluates supplier performance, capability and capacity.

  • Ensures that Risk and Opportunity management plans are developed and executed.

  • Monitors the operational, technical and financial health of subcontracting/material through assessments, measurements and metrics.

  • Accountable for Material Strategies for Captures efforts and Material Plans for Programs Supports all leadership reviews including Monthly Reviews, Customer reviews, and Program reviews.

  • Coordinatescross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Finance, and others to develop solutions for project challenges.

  • Provides support in managing the following processes: Request for Engineering Assistance (REA) Sole Source Justifications Technical Evaluations Statements of Work Supplier performance data. Coordinates major supplier and company part issues and corrective action.

  • Develops and maintains supplier audit processes; and develops and evaluates opportunities to improve, enhance or expand relationships.

  • Compiles and analyzes data, determines expectations and evaluates supplier performance.

  • Recommends changes/updates in policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company processes, procedures and standards and applicable regulations.

  • Represents the company as a primary contact and maintains professional relationship internal business groups and external suppliers.

  • Provides direction and training to professional, technical or staff on supplier related matters and makes presentations as required.

  • Maintains the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.

  • Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.

  • Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Job Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a Bachelors in Business Administration or related discipline and eleven or more years of progressively complex experience in the project administration field with at least five of those years in project management. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.

  • Must demonstrate an extensive understanding of project management processes and procedures, planning and scheduling methods, and budget management as well as the ability to organize, schedule, and coordinate workloads to meet established milestones and budgets.

  • Must possess: (1) the ability to initiate, plan, and manage projects; (2) the ability to identify issues, analyze and interpret data and develop solutions to a variety of non-routine matters of diverse scope and nature; (3) strong analytical, communication, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills; and, (4) the ability to work independently and lead in a team environment. Must be able to work extended hours and travel as required.
