We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Control Analyst to work within our Aeronautical Systems Earned Value Management System (EVMS) Compliance group in Poway, Ca. With limited direction, this position implements, develops and applies planning, tracking, and analysis procedures for reporting on projects of varying contract type, size, complexity, and level of risk. This position will work within a team environment consisting of program management, technical, production, financial and other supporting staff. The ideal candidate will have strong teambuilding skills, exhibit strong leadership potential, and possess comprehensive verbal and written communication/presentation skills.


  • Follows industry best practices for developing and maintaining logically linked horizontally and vertically integrated network schedules (Integrated Master Schedules) conducting critical path analysis and resolving conflicts.

  • Prepares, develops, and coordinated updates and changes to the project schedules/integrated master schedule to meet all program objectives.

  • Performs schedule risk analysis, identifies and resolves critical path and network logic conflicts.

  • Maintains rigorous cost-schedule integration and validates earned value methodology.

  • Coordinates with the program team to assign resources to activities in the program schedule and establish a baseline, update remaining work and perform annual comprehensive estimates at completion.

  • Ensures the baseline Integrated Master Schedule utilizes a company standard structure for cost tool import and analysis, WBS Alignment with charge structure, and includes dependencies to other programs.

  • Utilizes Gantt, PERT, milestone charts, earned value management and other project management techniques to gauge progress and identify performance variances to facilitate focus and intervention on critical areas.

  • Collaborates with the CAMs and major subcontractors to incorporate their subcontractor’s interface giver / receiver activities into the prime integrated master schedule.

  • Prepares written analysis of IPMR IMS CDRL narratives with detailed explanations and analysis.

  • Considered a subject matter expert (SME) in fulfilling a leadership role in guiding and training program team on scheduling practices and process improvement.

  • Conduct schedule peer reviews to ensure compliance with requirements and policies.

  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Job Qualifications:

  • Typically requires education/formal training equivalent to the completion of a bachelor's degree in business administration or a related discipline, along with eight or more years of related experience.

  • Recent scheduling experience using Microsoft Project, Project Server or other related project scheduling tools utilizing earned value methodology, performing DCMA 14 point analysis, and Schedule Risk Assessments.

  • Must have a strong background analyzing multiple contract types: Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Fixed Price Incentive (FPI), Fixed Price Level of Effort (FPLOE), Time and Materials (T&M), Cost Plus Award Fee (CPAF), Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF), and hybrid contracts.

  • Requires an understanding of GAAP and FAR.

  • Experience with IBRs and DCMA JSRs.

  • Demonstrates the ability to understand scheduling, planning and tracking procedures, and manufacturing systems in a development and production environment.

  • Must be an effective communicator and able to represent the company independently on programmatic matters, as well as able to write, interpret and explain programmatic issues

  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Project.

  • Must be able to work extended hours and travel as required.
