We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Scheduling Analyst to work within our Aeronautical Systems Earned Value Management Compliance Team in Poway, Ca. Under close supervision, within an assigned department, this position is responsible for supporting the development, tracking, and analysis of project schedules. The successful candidate will work within a team environment consisting of program management, technical, production, financial and other supporting staff.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
Uses Microsoft Project, assists with the development and maintenance of detailed project schedules, performance monitoring, schedule analysis, and reporting on assigned contracts.
Utilizes the information from the project schedule to update forecast and actual dates, review schedule status completeness and analyze impacts of schedule changes.
Provides scheduling support to the program management office and team to identify internal and external dependencies, milestones, and deliverables.
Assists with the development of master program schedules (high level schedules) for assigned contracts using Microsoft Project and/or Milestone Professional.
Provides the program team with clear, timely, and accurate information.
Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Typically requires education al training equivalent to the completion of an associate's degree in business administration or a related discipline. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
Understands basic principles, theories, and concepts of scheduling and demonstrates the ability to perform basic professional tasks.
Demonstrates the ability to understand scheduling, planning and tracking procedures, and manufacturing systems in a development or production environment.
Must have good verbal, organizational and written communication skills.
Must be familiar with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
The ability to follow policy and procedures as well as detailed work instructions.
Good interpersonal skills to effectively interface with all levels of employees.
The ability to work independently or in a team environment.
Good judgment on when to ask for assistance.
