We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to support Contract Logistics for Foreign Military Sales Programs. In this role, candidates will have the primary responsibility to lead efforts to produce, test, deliver, and sustain systems for international customers in Europe, or the Pacific region. Strong candidates will have experience maintaining relationships with U.S. Government and International Customers, as well as management experience in executing cross-functional projects in sustainment logistics, engineering, maintenance repair and overhaul, and test within contractual cost, schedule, and performance constraints.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead Contractor Logistics Support program efforts for a specific foreign customer
Work closely with GA-ASI functional areas, USAF and foreign customer’s program offices to coordinate the planning, proposal development, and negotiation of new contracts
Communicate program office requirements, coordinate resource identification and development, and provide regular status updates
Coordinate efforts of cross-functional team including engineering, logistics, field support, contract management, finance and trade compliance
Lead initiatives to provide Directorate Level business base projections, resource planning and department budgets to support company objectives
Ensure overall program compliance with various Business Management process areas
Oversee and monitor project schedule, timelines, and milestones from initiation to delivery to meet delivery goals.
Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
Collaborate across management and project team to expand services and potential business opportunities.
Identify and assess project issues and develop solutions to meet productivity, quality and customer satisfaction goals and objectives.
Provide leadership, direction, and guidance to employees working on assigned project.
Maintain the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
Additional Functions: Other duties as assigned or required.
Typically requires a Bachelors in Business Administration or related discipline and eleven or more years of progressively complex experience in the project administration field with at least five of those years in project management. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
Must demonstrate an extensive understanding of project management processes and procedures, planning and scheduling methods, and budget management as well as the ability to organize, schedule, and coordinate workloads to meet established milestones and budgets.
Must possess: (1) the ability to initiate, plan, and manage projects; (2) the ability to identify issues, analyze and interpret data and develop solutions to a variety of non-routine matters of diverse scope and nature; (3) strong analytical, communication, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills; and, (4) the ability to work independently and lead in a team environment.
Must be able to work extended hours and travel as required.
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance which requires US Citizenship.
Knowledge and skills in developing reporting, workflow, and analytical solutions using SAP business objects is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of program management processes for Earned Value, Risk management, and quality is preferred.
Ability to coordinate efforts of cross-functional team including engineering, logistics, field support, contract management, finance and trade compliance.
Aviation sustainment and logistics background and experience with USAF programs is preferred.
Extensive knowledge of cost tracking requirements for US Government contractors is needed.
