We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Production and Engineering Liaison located in Rancho Bernardo, San Diego, CA.

Under general supervision, this position is responsible for supporting the test department, evaluating and resolving engineering issues within the laboratories related to manufacturing, design, quality and materials engineering. Analyzes, investigates and provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity.


  • Understand the basic operations of lab facilities; software test, production test, environmental test, oil and materials test.

  • Analyzes, evaluates and resolves engineering related problems within the labs.

  • Assist in facilitating lab schedules, tracking installations and repairs.

  • Track and order materials and spare parts to keep labs functioning.

  • Analyzes defective, damaged or malfunctioning parts, assemblies, equipment and systems; analyzes and routes non-conforming reports; develops and implements corrective action.

  • Develops laboratory processes, procedures and trains appropriate staff.

  • Analyzes, investigates and recommends design and process changes; coordinates activities between various engineering departments.

  • Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company. Expected to maintain a productive and safe working environment in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

  • Experience working on complex electro-mechanical components is desired

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and able to adapt and respond to rapid change in priorities

  • Experience in troubleshooting issues and presenting solutions in a highly integrated SW/HW environment

  • Superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task

Job Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and two or more years of progressive professional experience in a technical capacity in production operations. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.

  • Must have a general knowledge of engineering support principles, theories and concepts; a general understanding of practices, techniques, and standards; working knowledge and experience of lab principles; and knowledge and concepts.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Security Clearance is desired.

  • Must be customer focused and possess:

  • Experience working in a lab and supporting a test environment.

  • Ability to participate in the development of new concepts, communicate and apply them accurately throughout an evolving environment

  • Organization skills to coordinate various repair and installation work phases.

  • Ability to determine the appropriate approach at the task or project level, and provide solutions to a variety of technical problems.

  • Good communication, documentation, presentation and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all levels of employees and management.

  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
