Diazyme, an affiliate of General Atomics, is a cGMP and ISO 13485 certified medical device manufacturer. Diazyme uses its proprietary enzyme technologies to develop diagnostic reagents which can be used on most automated chemistry analyzers in user-friendly formats. Their products include test kits for diagnosis of cardiovascular disease, liver disease, cancer markers, renal disease, diabetes, and electrolytes.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Control Technician in our Diazyme Laboratories group located in Poway, CA. This person will join a multidisciplinary Quality team focusing on diagnostic product Quality Control (QC) lab testing.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to perform Quality Control Laboratory testing on Diazyme Diagnostic products or raw materials.
Evaluates raw materials and finished products by physical and laboratory testing methods.
Maintains quality documentation and change control procedures.
Follows all quality initiatives and processes for ISO 13485 and other ISO standards.
Works in a safe manner in accordance with established operating and practices.
Performs good manufacturing practices (GMP) and completes regulatory forms as required.
Works in a lab environment requiring long periods of standing, walking, bending and lifting up to 50lbs.
Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Typically requires an associate's degree or trade school certification. May substitute equivalent experience as a quality technician in lieu of education.
Material inspection experience is desired.
Requires a general understanding of quality procedures in a manufacturing environment as well as basic knowledge of quality concepts and principles.
Must be able to read and understand basic engineering drawings and specifications.
