We have an exciting opportunity as an Engineering Manufacturing Liaison in our Army ICP Quality department to work out of our Poway, CA location.
Under general supervision and with on-going review, this position supports program engineering and manufacturing by serving as a liaison between the engineering and manufacturing departments. Reviews program development progress and expedites critical path components and processes to maintain schedule. Evaluates and resolves engineering related production problems related to manufacturing, design, quality and material engineering. Maintains physical control of program assets. May negotiate lead times with suppliers and manage schedules for timely delivery. This position involves the exercise of independent judgment and discretion about matters of significance.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Inputs data directly and works extensively with the Army Maintenance Management System – Aviation (TAMMS-A/MCDS)
Works with fielded units to insure proper documentation in TAMMS-A/MCDS
Reviews logbooks and ensures corresponding bulletins have been complied with and documented in TAMMS-A/MCDS
Reviews, updates and manages system configurations as received into the supply chain database: Catalog Ordering Logistics Tracking System (COLTS)
Works closely with inventory control point personnel to ensure configuration accuracy in COLTS database
Works closely with depot personnel to ensure configuration accuracy in COLTS database
Uses various databases to research inventory and maintenance transactions to ensure data accuracy in COLTS.
Works with the inventory control point to ensure configurations are accurate when they are disposed of
Verifies international shipment documentation for accuracy and maintains metrics for reporting
Works closely with Engineering and Configuration Management teams to ensure the complete processing of engineering change proposals (ECP’s) and awaiting work instructions (AWI’s).
Works closely with various supply chain departments to ensure follow through processing of inventory affected by ECP’s and AWI’s.
Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in business, planning or a related discipline. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education. Must have a basic knowledge of production and engineering support principles and concepts and a general understanding of practices, techniques, and standards.
Must be customer focused and possess: (1) the ability to use independent analysis and judgment in developing solutions to a variety of non-routine problems; (2) excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills to accurately document and report findings to a variety of audiences; (3) excellent interpersonal skills to influence and guide employees and managers; and (4) strong computer skills.
Ability to work independently or in a team environment is essential as is the ability to work extended hours and travel as required.
Experience with COLTS (Catalog Ordering Logistics Tracking System) desired.
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance is required.
