We currently have an opportunity to join our corporate Facilities department in the Space Planning group, located in Poway, CA. Under minimal supervision, this position is responsible for providing conceptual solutions and schematic drawings utilizing AutoCAD software.


  • Develops conceptual drawings for specific space following local architectural building codes.

  • Interacts with planner(s) regarding design concepts and progress.

  • Verifies work, checking dimensions, making mathematical calculations as required in support of drafting calculations.

  • Develops layouts, validating conformity to design standards and specifications; identifies design errors and other deficiencies and recommends changes.

  • Communicates intra-organizationally and with customer groups as needed.

  • Ability to work effectively on multiple small to medium projects setting priorities and maintaining schedules.

  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Job Qualifications:

  • Typically requires an associate's degree, technical/trade school training or equivalent and six or more years of progressive experience using 3D CAD solid modeling.

  • May substitute additional work experience in lieu of education.

  • Must possess the ability to understand new concepts and apply them accurately throughout an evolving environment.

  • Proficient in AutoCAD & Excel and general knowledge of IWMS software is a plus.

  • Must have good communication, computer, documentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team and the ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.

  • Able to work extended hours as required.
