We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Flight Training Manager to join our Flight Operations division located in our El Mirage Facility near Palmdale, California!


  • Oversees all aspects of flight training department to include ground training, flight training and curriculum development

  • Supervises training developers, assigned aircrew, department assistant(s) and initial qualification student aircrew

  • Responsible for managing available training resources in support of student production goals as set by the Flight Operations Manager

  • Responsible for short and long term training plans to meet internal and external training needs as directed by Flight Operations Manager

  • Responsible for ensuring all training syllabi are accurate, up-to-date and reviewed annually. This also includes maintenance of customer/student feedback/critiques to continuously improve the quality of the training material.\

  • Responsible for daily review of student training folders for accuracy, compliance with approved curriculum/syllabi and tracking/analysis of student aircrew performance.

  • Responsible for identifying low performing student aircrew, analyzing training date and providing written summary of training and recommendations to the Flight Operations Manager for remedial training or removal from training.

  • Responsible for ensuring that all student’s training records submitted for government approval are in 100% compliance with the approved syllabus, appropriated service guidance and error free.

  • Responsible for ensuring all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations are observed wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company. Responsible for ensuring work is accomplished in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

Clearance Level: Secret

Job Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a Bachelors, Masters or PhD in engineering, science or a related technical field as well as eleven or more years of progressively complex program administration experience with at least five of those years managing programs.

  • May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.

  • Must demonstrate technical expertise and application of program management principles, concepts, and practice as well as program management and leadership skills including organizing, planning, scheduling, and coordinating workloads to meet established deadlines or milestones.

  • Must be able to develop solutions to problems that require coordination of technologies across program requirements. Strong communication, leadership, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required to enable an effective interface with other departments, all levels of management, professional and support staff, customers, potential customers, and government representatives.

  • Customer focused, must be able to work on a self-initiated basis and in a team environment, and able to work extended hours and travel as required.

  • Highly desired previous Military Training Department experience.

  • Highly desired well versed and experienced with the utilization of the 8210.1C
