We have a new opportunity for a PE Simulation Engineer to support Army Programs in Huntsville, AL.

With limited direction, this position exercises considerable latitude for initiating and developing designs, procedures, techniques and solutions for a designated engineering system(s) or project (s). Assignments are normally outlined in terms of broad specifications, objectives, possible results anticipated and critical reference points requiring special attention. Guides the successful resolution of engineering problems, serves as a consulting resource of engineering knowledge, applies the latest technological advancements to the problem, and may function in a project leadership role.


  • Lead systems engineering design and integration of trainer system for unmanned aircraft.

  • Manage and maintain system level requirements and documentation on the training system.

  • Integration of hardware and software for training devices

  • Conduct verification and validation on trainer system

  • Plan and manage periodic upgrades to the training system

  • Primary technical contact or focal point for technical communication within Company and externally with customers or vendors.

  • Prepare and present report(s) at engineering meetings, participates in program reviews and consults on problems.

  • Manage a project or product through the entire life cycle; definition, design, integration, flight test, production and field support.

  • Cost Account Manager (CAM) for projects requiring Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) controls.

  • Prepare Statement of Work (SOW), technical requirements, specifications and test procedures.

  • Other duties as assigned or required.

Job Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a bachelors degree, masters degree or PhD in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution and progressive engineering experience as follows; six or more years of experience with a bachelors degree, four or more years of experience with a masters degree, or two or more years with a PhD. May substitute equivalent engineering experience in lieu of education.

  • Experience with Systems integration

  • Experience with Software development

  • Experience with System and Subsystem requirements development

  • Experience with manufacturing environment, engineering documentation, engineering changes and configuration management

  • Must thrive working on a team driven dynamic and continuously evolving development program

  • Strong verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to influence others and gain concurrence

  • Able to work independently and lead a team is essential as is the ability to work extended hours and travel as required

  • Secret or Top Secret level security clearance (or ability to obtain)

  • PC proficiency including using MS Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint

  • Modeling and Simulation (M&S), software development and integration experience desired

  • Experience in scripting languages such as Python is highly desirable

  • Experience working with the multiple engineering disciplines
