We have an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Project Administrator in our Engineering Department in Huntsville, AL.
Under minimal supervision, this position performs a variety of specialized activities in support of the Huntsville Engineering department. This position has frequent contact with management and representatives of outside organizations and may be a contact point for outside organizations.
Duties and Responsibilities
Support the activities of the Huntsville Engineering department.
Gather, collect, record, track and verify data and information from multiple sources.
Collect, monitor, record and report departmental metrics.
Coordinate, track, and report on the progress of individual projects.
Assimilates data and prepares requested electronic and hard copy reports and presentations.
Maintain, develop, and update a variety of electronic and/or hard copy reports and records which may be confidential and sensitive in nature for a variety of parties, which may require independent interaction with management, customers, vendors or agencies.
Participate in the writing of engineering reports and presentations.
Respond to routine verbal and written requests for information from internal sources and may respond to verbal and written requests for information from authorized external parties and/or agencies.
Administer various projects in SharePoint.
May make or participate in internal staff presentations and meetings.
Responsible for observing all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company. Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related discipline. Equivalent professional experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
Must demonstrate a basic understanding of project administration principles, theories, concepts and techniques.
Must have experience organizing, planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating work assignments to meet project milestones or established completion dates.
Must possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them in an evolving environment while contributing to the development of new processes.
Must have strong analytical, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, report, interpret and explain moderately complex information as well as the ability to communicate and interface effectively with all levels of personnel, including management, customers and vendors.
Considerable knowledge of computer operations and applications. Specifically highly experienced at the advanced aspects of Word, Power Point, Excel and Access.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.
- Experience with VB scripting.
